The race director said go! We all went off the line. I started out with Grammie. She told me I can go ahead. I got running at a good pace.

I was running hoping to catch up with Anna but I didn't see her. I looked at my watch but saw I was losing to my virtual person. I wanted to go faster.

After Mile 2 on my watch, I started to get cramps. I started to walk. Then, I saw the 10K finishers and hoped I would see Mommy and Daddy but I didn't. I decided I would try to run the whole rest of the way. Then I saw the finish line and I raced in. I felt good after the race. I waited for Grammie to finish.
